Accessibility Statements

What Is an Accessibility Statement

An accessibility statement is a public declaration of your organization’s commitment to digital accessibility. It describes the accessibility standards you target, known limitations, and how users can contact you about accessibility issues. Many regulations require or strongly encourage publishing an accessibility statement.

Generating a Statement

Crucible Scan can generate an accessibility statement as a WordPress page using Gutenberg blocks. Navigate to Crucible Scan → Reports and click Generate Accessibility Page. The generated page includes your conformance status, WCAG version targeted, known limitations based on scan results, and contact information.

EU Accessibility Statement PRO

Pro includes an EU-compliant accessibility statement that follows the format required by the European Accessibility Act and EN 301 549. This includes additional fields for assessment methodology, enforcement procedure references, and the specific EU statement structure.

Customizing Your Statement

After generation, the statement is a standard WordPress page that you can edit freely. Configure your company name, contact email, and product details in Reports → Configuration before generating to pre-populate these fields.

💡 Good Faith Effort

Publishing an accessibility statement demonstrates good faith effort even if your site is not yet fully compliant. It provides a channel for users to report barriers and shows commitment to improvement.
